Lighting Control

Lighting control is probably the first function within the building that people associate with intelligent control and is the most frequent use of KNX. There are KNX products to control any type of lighting whether for commercial or residential applications. Interfacing with the Dali lighting open protocol is also common practice.

Building Evolution can implement many ways of controlling lighting, from intelligent KNX push buttons that offer switching, dimming and scene setting to presence and movement detectors, we are even being able to utilize conventional switches.

 To enable maximum energy saving  we can implement contant light control through the use use of  light level sensors so as to provide a controlled and balanced combination of natural and artificial light. This can also be combined with switching controlled by presence or absence detection. We can even use pushbuttons with integrated temperature sensors or thermostats to allow control of lighting and heating from a single device.

 A particular advantage of KNX is that with so many manufactuers there is an amazing  array of different designs to fit in with any style of interior.
